We often get asked, when is the best time to travel in Spain? Of course, this is a matter of preference, yet there are a number of things to consider first. Climate and weather conditions should be taken into consideration, because although some provinces are currently experiencing water shortages, Spain still gets a lot of rain at times, in certain parts. The months of April, May, June, September, and October can be very good for visiting. Summer can be very hot, especially in inland cities like Seville, Cordoba, and Madrid. Also the popular (and hottest) months of July and August are very busy in resorts along the Mediterranean, so early planning and booking hotels maybe a good idea. If you are travelling to the Costa’s such as within the Malaga province, even the month of December can have some fairly warm and sunny weather, pleasant enough for most activities.
